You fancy a nice meal in a cosy space with a great atmosphere, you’d like a bit of retail therapy, and an experience to remember. Well, HUDSON’S is all of those things and more.

An award-winning shopping destination just outside Stratford-upon-Avon, HUDSON’S is the perfect place to go for those seeking unique and beautiful homewares, interesting and unique antiques, a charming shopping experience, and a cosy cafe with a menu offering just about anything you could be in the mood for. 

Huge variety and oozing atmosphere

As you enter HUDSON’S, you will immediately be struck by the vastness of the place (16000 sq. ft. to be exact), the huge variety of items on display, and the atmosphere positively oozing from the cafe. And now you need to make a choice. Do you go straight and enter the shop or do you turn right and find a great space in the cafe? Whatever you do, you will have made the right choice. 

As we entered, we went straight. We wanted to start out with a walk around the shop to see what new and exciting things were there since the last time we visited. No visit to HUDSON’S is ever the same. The 45 dealers are constantly restocking their areas, so with everything from handcrafted furniture to vintage finds brimming with character, the shop is like a sensory experience. Each section and each piece tell a bit of a story; the antiques whisper of bygone eras, the vintage finds of the skilled hands that created them.

An eye for quality and design

We wandered through the shop, first downstairs, then upstairs, and I couldn’t help but admire the attention to detail evident in every corner. Not only because of the items on display but also because of the way the curated selection of homewares reflects a discerning eye for quality and design. Whether you’re searching for a statement piece to add a touch of grandeur to your living room or simply seeking charming trinkets to personalise your space, HUDSON’S will have the one thing you’re after… even if you’re not sure what that thing is yourself.

After browsing the enticing array of homewares and enjoying the various sections, it was time to treat ourselves to an experience of the culinary kind. The ambience in the cafe is fabulous, the perfect place to recharge and enjoy a bite to eat and a nice drink. 

A fantastic Sunday Lunch

The menu has a tempting selection of homemade dishes, all crafted with fresh, local ingredients. Lots for vegans too, so I was happy. We visited on a Sunday, so this was the perfect excuse to check out their Sunday Lunch. Choose between roast beef, roast turkey, or a lentil loaf, all with Yorkshire pudding, all the trimmings and bottomless gravy. Absolutely delicious!  

The staff at HUDSON’S always add to the charm when we visit. Friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about the products they sell and the food they serve. Their enthusiasm is contagious, and they’re always happy to answer any questions you have. Special mention to Paloma in the cafe – she was amazing serving our Sunday Lunch.

We’ve been before and will come again; our visit to HUDSON’S Home & Antiques on this fine Sunday was an absolute delight. From the exquisite homewares to the delectable cafe food, every aspect of the shop exudes quality and care. Whether you’re a local resident or simply visiting the Cotswolds, HUDSON’S is a must-visit destination for anyone who appreciates beautiful things and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
